Re: Scholarship Application for Spring 2006

Scholarship applications are now being accepted for spring 2006 awards.  The deadline is November 10, 2005.

Awards will range from approximately $500.-$1500.  Applications will be reviewed and scored by a selection committee beginning in December.  Criteria to apply are on below.   Funding for these awards comes from university endowments.

Merit Scholarships for Continuing Students

Interested in scholarship money towards your spring ’06 semester bill? If you meet the following criteria, apply for merit scholarships for continuing students through our Comprehensive Scholarship Program now!

• Massachusetts Resident (In-state tuition)
• Working towards you first Bachelor’s Degree
• Enrolled full-time )12 or more credits per semester)
• Have 24 or more credits earned at UMass Boston*
• Have a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 3.0*
• CPCS students must be in good standing and have earned 8 competencies

The Comprehensive Scholarship Program for continuing students awards money for the spring 2006 semester.  In addition to the application, a letter of recommendation from a UMB professor and an essay are required.  You may pick up an application in the Office of Merit-Based Scholarships, Campus Center, 4th Floor, or at the Student One Stop, Campus Center, Upper Level.
