Welcome To NursingDear Nursing Student, Are you ready to start the first clinical course next semester? If you have completed the prerequisites* for the first clinical course, NU 226 – Introduction to Nursing, and you are planning to go to clinical, you are required to attend a pre-clinical orientation. Students will not be allowed to enroll in the first clinical course without attending an orientation. Sign-up sheets for these sessions are posted outside of the College of Nursing & Health Sciences (CNHS). The dates and times are as follows: Monday, April 24th from 10:00am – 11:15am – 2nd floor Nursing Lab Tuesday, April 25th from 2:30pm – 3:45pm – 3rd floor Old Language Lab Thursday, April 27th from 10:00am – 11:15am – 3rd floor Old Language Lab Monday, May 1st from 10:00am – 11:15am – 2nd floor Nursing Lab The clinical clearance process will be discussed at the orientation. Students NEED to bring a government issued ID with a picture such as a driver’s license or passport in order to process the CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) background check. Clinical clearance requirements also include the following:
*The following courses must be completed before taking NU 226:
