Dear CNHS Nursing Student,

              You are required to have certain uniform and accessory items for your clinical studies. Some of these items are regulation, and must be purchased from our designated uniform supplier, McGill’s Inc. You may opt to purchase additional items from McGill’s, as they offer favorable pricing, or you may find the items on your own. The required items are: light blue polo shirt, navy blue elastic waist pants, emblem and name pin.

              We recommend you buy two sets of uniforms. A navy blue scrub jacket is optional, however, you may not wear any other garment over or under your uniform shirt. In some courses you are required to go to the hospital the day before clinical to get your assignment. In those circumstances, you may wear your full uniform, or the navy scrub jacket over street clothes. If you choose to buy the scrub jacket, you must buy it form McGill’s.

              You are also required to have white professional shoes, or plain white leather athletic shoes, a stethoscope, and a watch with a second hand.

              Emblems are to be sewn on the left sleeve, centered on the arm, with a space of 2” from the shoulder seam to the emblem top.

              A McGill’s representative will be on campus on Tuesday September 6 from 9:45 to 11:15. You should be prepared to pay in full at that time. The company accepts cash, money orders, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover, or personal check. Orders paid by personal check are not eligible to ship for two weeks from McGill’s receipt of your check. As you need to have your uniform soon, it is suggested that you pay by charge card, money order, or cash. Orders will be processed and shipped directly to you via UPS. Please be certain to give your complete shipping address including any apartment or floor number. Omitting this information may delay delivery of your merchandise. Items and prices are listed below. Note: Woman’s elastic waist pants are also available in petite and tall sizes.

Those students who do not wear pants may purchase a white skirt.
