Welcome To Open ADVISING UPDATE - USE FORMNursing Open Advising In addition to the previous email sent on 10.25.05 –
Find the Advising Record form here posted here for the date 10.28.05 http://mirror.www.umb.edu/academics/cnhs/current/blitzes/index.html Dear Nursing students, Advising for all nursing students will be done during open, walk-in advising sessions are held by nursing faculty. At these sessions you will have the opportunity to review your audit and to finalize your spring 2006 course selection. The dates and times of the open sessions are as follows: Monday, November 21st, 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm Tuesday, November 22nd, 9am -12pm and 1pm-4pm Wednesday, November 30th, 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm You don’t need to make an appointment to attend, simply drop-in during the dates and hours posted above. All sessions will be held in the 2nd floor lab. If you are enrolled in the 100 or 200 level courses or are an RN except on-line RN’s), it is mandatory** that you attend one of these sessions to have your registration hold released and RN’s to fill out your clinical request form. If you have any individual concerns you may also meet with your faculty advisor during their regularly scheduled office hours. Students who do not attend an advising session by will not be able to meet with a Student Affairs Specialist to have their hold released until after early registration. These students may then be assessed a $50 late registration fee. **If you are enrolled in NU 310 or above it is NOT required that you attend a session or meet with your faculty advisor. Your registration hold on your student record will be removed. If you are a registered nurse planning to go to clinical in the fall you must meet with a Student Affairs Specialist individually for a graduation review and your hold will then be released. Please print out and fill in the appropriate program of study (your program start date will determine the advising record you use). Bring the completed program of study and a copy of your degree audit (you can print this from the WISE system or get one from the One Stop in the Campus Center) with you to the open advising session. You should prepare a list of those courses you wish to take in the fall 2005 semester. You should have already received an Invitation to Registrar from the Registrar’s Office which included information on registration, your access period and PIN number. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR DEGREE AUDIT WITH YOU IN ORDER FOR US TO ASSIST YOU PROBERLY AS WE DO NOT HAVE COPIES AVAILABLE! Place an X next to the courses you have already completed, and F05 next to those courses you plan to take in the fall 2005 semester.
