Dear Nursing Students,

      Open Advising is required for all students in NU226 (Introduction to Nursing) and anyone who has not started clinical.  Nursing students in NU310 and above are required to meet with their FACULTY ADVISOR to remove their advising hold.

      IT IS MANDATORY FOR NURSING STUDENTS TO BRING THEIR PRINTED ACADEMIC DEGREE AUDIT for faculty and acedemic advisors to review to accurately plan your spring semester.  If you do not attend one of the open advising sessions, the university advising hold will NOT be removed from your record preventing you from registering on your given date for the spring 2007 semester.

**OPEN ADVISING IS SEPARATE FROM PRE-CLINICAL (NU226) ADVISING AND INFORMATION SESSIONS**

Directions for Printing out an Academic Degree Audit:

Students must log onto the WISER system by visiting https://www-sa.umassadmin.net/servlets/iclientservlet/stuss/?cmd=login

• Under Learner Services, click Academics
• Under Academic Record, click UMass Boston Degree Progress Progress Report.  For help, click Training Information
• Enter your WISER User ID (UMS + 8 digits) and your WISER password
• Click Submit

Request a New Audit

• From the Audits menu at the top of the page, click Request New Audit.  The Audit Request page appears
• The shaded box at the top should display your current major.  Be sure the Run Current Programs Listed radio button is selected
• Click the Submit a New Audit button.  The Audits page appears with the updated list of audits
• Click the Refresh List button until the Details button appears (on the list)
• Click the Details button to view the audit
• To print the audit, on the audit report, beneath the Categories section, click the Printer Firendly link
• Click the Print button on the browser menu bar

All Nursing students that attend Open Advising will have their advising holds removed prior to November 27th.

      Tuesday, November 14:     9:30am-1:00pm (2nd Floor Nursing Lab)

                                                    2:00pm-4:00pm (3rd Floor Science Building)

      Thursday, November 16:    9:30am-1:00pm ( 3rd Floor Science Building)

                                                    2:00pm-4:00pm (3rd Floor Science Building)

      Friday, November 17:         12:00pm-2:00pm (2nd Floor Nursing Lab)

      Monday, November 20:       9:30am-12:30pm (2nd Floor Nursing Lab)

      Wednesday November 22: 11:00pm-1:00pm (3rd Floor Science Building)
