Welcome To SP06 CLinical Placements UPDATE

what to expect and when...

Clinical Clearance materials are due by Friday January 6th at 5pm. Anyone who has SCHEDULED a CPR class for after that date should email monique.austin@umb.edu to request an extension and for approval to be notated on your file.

Wondering if you missed critical info about your clinical placement? Note (below) the dates and classes when info was/or will be distributed

If you did NOT receive your placement by email as sent below - check with one of your classmates who received an identical email or stop by the CNHS office and speak with the Receptionist. For confidentiality purposes, please be sure to have your student id.

The following placements were emailed to students:

  • NU310 (12/6/05)
  • NU335-345 (11/29/05)
  • NU435 (12/14/05)
  • NU425 packets will be given to students at the NU 345 final exam on Thursday 12/22/05.

Expected to be sent:
We anticipate distributing assignments second week of January (1.3.06)

  • NU445 We are currently seeking an additional site for and placements will go out once we receive confirmation.

Students who were enrolled during during the Fall 2005 semester or were previously inactive or on leave from the university and did not complete a preference sheet have not been placed.  You will need to come to the College and complete a preference sheet and you will be placed on a space available basis.

Any student who is looking to change a current placement must complete the “Request to Change Clinical” form that is at the front desk. Sherry and I will review the requests after we return and notify students if it has been approved.

1.3.06 Update

We were unable to complete placements on the projected dates of 12/22 & 23. We are working diligently to have the assignments done and distributed by the second week of January. We realize that you are anxious for this information and hope that you can understand the complexity on our end of securing faculty and locations. We'll be in touch as soon as possible we'll email your placements as soon as they are available. Check your UMB email.
