About Dean Greer Glazer, PhD, FAAN, RN, CNP
Dr. Glazer, who recently completed a three-year Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellowship, helped to develop and implement the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program at Kent State, the first nursing doctorate program at Case Western’s Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, and the master’s program in Women’s Health Nursing at Tel Aviv University in Israel, where as a visiting Fulbright scholar she studied Israeli women’s transition to midlife and served as a consultant to the Israeli Ministry of Health. She has done extensive research on women’s health, including the institutionalization of domestic violence education and support programs in health care institutions, and barriers to the provision and utilization of prenatal health care services for African-American women. As chairperson of the Political Action Committee of the American Nurses Association, she oversaw fund-raising activities for that organization. Dr. Glazer is widely published in her field, is in great demand as a public speaker, and has appeared on numerous radio and television programs. She is a cofounder and current legislative editor of the Online Journal of Issues in Nursing. CNHS welcomes Dr. Glazer and wishes her success as she works to strengthen the College’s reputation as Massachusetts’ leading provider of nurses and as a nationally renowned center for healthcare education.
