Dr. Patrice Nicholas is Director of Global Health and Academic Partnerships in the Center for Nursing Excellence and the Division of Social Medicine and Health Inequalities at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She is an expert in the care of individuals with HIV/AIDS, symptom management in HIV disease, and quality of life in chronic illness. She recently completed a Fulbright Senior Scholarship at the University of KwaZuly-Natal, South Africa where she continued her research work in HIV/AIDS. The Lecture is being supported by the PhD in Nursing Program, U56 UMass Boston and DF/HCC partnership and Theta Alpha Tau.
