CNHS offers 3 Nursing Masters Tracks:

Two Nurse Practitioners tracks:

1. Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
2. Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner (AGNP).

          and a Clinical Nurse Specialist track:

     3.  Acute Care/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist

Admissions Requirements

  IMPORTANT DEADLINES:

• Applications for admission in the Spring of 2007 must be submitted by December 1st!!
• Applications for admission in the Fall of 2007 must be submitted by July 1st.

• A completed application including a personal statement, three references – at least two from nurses with whom you have worked with since graduation from your basic program.
• Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.
• One year minimum clinical experience
• GPA of 2.75 and above
• Course in statistics and health assessment
• Current RN licensure in MA
• Graduation form an NLN/CCNE approved baccalaureate program
• GRE Scores

Family Nurse Practitioner program

The Master of Science (MS) Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program specializes in the care of the family in primary and community based settings.

The curriculum was developed in accordance with guidelines established by the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). Graduates are eligible to take credentialing exams leading to licensure in advanced practice nursing.  Review the FNP Curriculum Plan: full time and part time classes offered and sequence to be taken

Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner PRogram

The Master of Science (MS) Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) program specializes in the care of the adult and older adult across ambulatory, community, and institutional settings.

The curriculum was developed in accordance with guidelines established by the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). Graduates are eligible to take credentialing exams leading to licensure in advanced practice nursing as either or both adult and gerontological nurse practitioner. Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCCNS) program

The Master of Science (MS) Acute Care/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCCNS) program specializes in the care of the adult in either acute care or across multiple settings where high acuity nursing care is delivered.

The curriculum was developed in accordance with guidelines established by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Corporation (ANCC), American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). Graduates are eligible to take exams leading to certification as a Board Certified Medical-Surgical Clinical; Nurse Specialist (APRN, BC) and/or as an adult Acute and Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS).
